Plans are under way for another get-together in Oxford this year!  We have tentative dates of either 24 September or 1 October.  Does anyone who would probably come have any conflicts with these dates or any ideas for speakers or workshops?

  1. I’m definitely interested, though I can’t promise. Had you thought of doing it in Birmingham one year?

  2. Hi Robert,

    I’ll consider anything!

In the past we chose Oxford because it’s pretty central, and it’s easy to get to from London by coach where a lot of people come from. Also the first year some people came from the area around Cheltenham, and Oxford was sort of half way between there and London. There is one person who comes from NW Wales, and another from West Yorkshire. I travel from Amsterdam. There are also a few people who attend and live in or near Oxford.

As much as I try to understand it all, I don’t live in the UK so I don’t really have a good sense of all the geography and transport links. If some of you who live there want to think about this, I would be happy to consider moving it for 2012.

Especially if 2-3 people come forward who would like to see it in Birmingham, I would take it very seriously.

Another consideration is because I don’t live in the UK I depend on help from people who do. The first two meetings I had a lot of help from Emma and Julieanne. In fact I don’t know for sure there’s anyone in Birmingham who can help out…

  3. It would be great to have another one. I prefer Oxford (sorry Robert) partly for distance and partly because I struggle to deal with large cities. I will make every effort to come along to it …
