EU Seed Laws Set for Major Overhaul
According to this post on the Agricultural Biodiversity Weblog, the EU seems to be preparing to rewrite the seed laws.
It’s important to emphasize this is not necessarily good news! Most EU states seem to be in favor of keeping the current system of registering varieties intact. You never know however, and maybe some good can come of this.

Thanks for spreading the word. What’s really important, of course, is that people with an interest in a different set of seed laws make their voices heard. Progress is slow, and the more people keep an eye on things, the better informed we can all be.
