Hi Tyra,

Most of my garlics come from the US, but I've traded for a few of them locally here in Holland. I think this particular one came from The Garlic Store in the US (there's a link on the front page).

Are you interested in trying some garlic? You are pretty far north, but between Soren who lives near Copenhagen and I, we could probabaly find something that would grow well in your garden.

I don't know if I have any turban garlic left, but I could have a look if you were interested.

If you are interested, send me an email at weblogxl@patnsteph.net

Hi Robin,

That's what kept happening to me with Elephant Garlic. If you only plant one bulb, and a mole comes along and eats it, then it's gone.

Kathy at Skippy's Garden had a good idea, she got some garlic from a local farmer's market and is going to plant that. Then you know it's local, and you get a chance to taste it before you plant it.

Good luck!

I have to complain just a little...I planted garlic for the fall (it overwinters nicely here). The moles ate all but one, which I accidentally pulled as a weed in my late-summer zeal. UGH.

I will start over again.

Need to find different varieties...
